How It Works
Recruitment Process
-
We assess the suitability of your vacancy for the Food Recruit service and are completely transparent. We will not work on a Job Vacancy where experience tells us the likelihood of producing a comprehensive shortlist of candidates is low. Fortunately, the vast majority of Food Industry vacancies are suitable for the Food Recruit service.
-
We create a job advert web-optimised with keywords, using 20+ years’ experience of writing effective online adverts for our Food Industry clients. We gain your approval of the job advert copy, making amendments to the job advert where required.
-
We post the job advert to the UK’s major jobs boards, social media, career platforms, and Food Industry career sites, with job adverts benefitting from 28 days of advertising.
-
We search our internal database of 60,000+ UK based Food professionals, as well as all major external databases holding in excess of 20 million UK candidates. We identify those with the skills and experience relevant to your vacancy. We communicate details of your vacancy and business and encourage them to apply.
-
We use our knowledge and experience to review candidate applications against the specific requirements of the job and use an Applicant Tracking System to Shortlist or Reject every applicant.
-
We deliver a CV application for each shortlisted candidate and will do this weekly or bi-weekly on request. Applicants can also be viewed via a secure Client Portal.
-
You review the CV’s and arrange Interviews directly with your preferred candidates. As an Optional Extra we will arrange interviews with your selected candidates, so you can meet them online or face-to-face and provide interview feedback.
-
You make an Offer of Employment to your selected Candidate following a successful Interview and arrange a start date for them to join your business.
Recruitment – Flat Fee Recruitment Explained
Food Careers Limited has served the recruitment needs of the Food Industry for over 20 years, making us ideally placed to assist Food and Drink businesses across a wide-range of job disciplines. We pioneered Flat Fee Recruitment in the Food Industry and have been offering our Food Recruit service since 2010.
We charge much lower fees. For example, with a £40,000 pa vacancy a customer would save £7305 using our Food Recruit Service, compared to an average recruitment fee of 20% of Salary
We are specialists. We only recruit for the Food Industry, so have in depth industry knowledge and substantial experience of assisting Food Industry clients with recruitment matters.
We have a huge online presence and ensure customer vacancies have the widest possible audience of Food Industry professionals across, regional, national, general, and specialist (food industry) jobs boards.
We offer transparency and charge the straightforward Flat Fee at the start of the process with nothing further to pay. Customers know exactly what they are paying at the outset. Traditional recruitment consultancies will charge a much larger fee based on a percentage of the employee salary, so you’re never quite sure how high their fee will be until you have an offer of employment accepted.
We don’t act as a barrier and ensure employers have direct access to candidates. This speeds up communication and the process of arranging interviews and making job offers.
We access online career portals used by hundreds of millions of professionals, our internal database of 60,000+ food professionals and external CV databases holding 20 million + CV’s. Traditional general recruitment consultancies will lack the scope and access to thousands of Food professionals which is at the core of our service.
Our service combines all the key elements of recruitment consultancy (industry knowledge, candidate reach) with the power of networking with the food sector, the internet and online professional career portals, all for a much lower fee.
Vacancy suitability for Flat Fee Recruitment
With over 20 years’ experience of recruiting for Food industry customers and a track record in advertising Food and Drink vacancies on multiple online platforms, we know what works and where to identify Food professionals. Customers fill 90% of the vacancies put through our Food Recruit flat fee service.
For vacancies that are not suitable for our flat fee service, we will recommend a more appropriate recruitment service as part of our consultative and transparent approach. We will only offer our flat-fee service if data and experience dictate there is a 90% likelihood of making a successful appointment.
We won’t take your money and not deliver. To be sustainable, our low-cost flat-fee model requires i.) successful appointments to be made, ii.) repeat business. For customers to come back, we need to fill vacancies. We will only work on a job vacancy where we know we will be able to attract enough relevant food professionals to deliver a quality shortlist of candidates.
Why Flat-Fee Online Recruitment Works
At any given time, an estimated 30% of employees are actively seeking a new role, that’s around 9.8 million people in the UK. The trick is finding the few individuals who will be a match for your vacancy. That’s where Food Recruit comes in with an already established network of Food industry professionals, an understanding of Food Industry recruitment advertising, and an unwavering desire to unearth talent in the Food and Drink sector, we are able to offer our service for an affordable flat fee.
